Childcare Aide / Driver--Evergreen, Alabama

Aletheia House Evergreen, Alabama Women's IOP program is in need of two Childcare Aides / Drivers. The two positions are part-time and the two schedules we are recruiting for are for 8am-1pm shift and the 2pm-7pm shift (Monday - Friday).

Position Summary:
The Childcare Aide / Driver is responsible for providing childcare during scheduled groups and individuals. The Childcare / Driver is also responsible for transporting program participants and their children back to their residence safely. The Childcare Aide / Driver works closely with the Program Manager and Director of Behavioral Health to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Provide quality childcare services to children using activities approved by the Aletheia House.
-Immediately inform the Program Manager of any adverse incidents involving children.
-Comply with policies and procedures that govern childcare as required by the Alabama Department of Human Resources, Aletheia House and SAMHSA.
-Enforce program rules in a fair and constant manner.
-Properly document activities and services provided to children. Responsible for maintaining other records as directed in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
-Assist in the transportation needs of the program participants.
-Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager, Director of Behavioral Health, Chief Operating Officer and/or Executive Director.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Previous childcare experience required.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
-Personable and ability to work with program participants and children.
-Ability to maintain harmonious effective working relationships with other employees.

Physical Requirements:
-Requires the physical mobility to sit, stand, bend and walk for moderate periods of time.
-Requires the ability to operate a vehicle.

Qualifications:
-High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor’s Degree in human services, social work, early childhood, or any other related field, preferred.
-Current or pursuing MAC certification, preferred.
-Valid driver’s license and a good driving record required.

Job Salary: 
$13.50 per hour
Hours: 
P/T, Non-Exempt, 8am-1pm shift and 2pm-7pm shift, please note these are two available positions for two different shifts. 25 - 29 hours per week.
