Residential Support Specialist--Birmingham, AL

Aletheia House has several openings in our residential facilities. We are looking for individuals that want to make a difference in the lives of individuals recovering from substance abuse. All available positions are part-time positions.

Position Summary:
The Residential Support Specialist is responsible for appropriate supervision and day to day functions of our residential supportive services. The Residential Support Specialist works closely with the Residential Supportive Services Manager and Director of Behavioral Health to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Provide appropriate supervision of residential clients, including supervision of work assignments, meal preparation, and recreational activities;
-Responsible for conducting room inspections for compliance checks.
-Enforce program rules in a fair and constant manner;
-Properly document activities on clients and maintain other records as directed;
-Document and assist clients with medications to ensure proper usage.
-Transport program participants to NA/AA meetings, store runs, and other recreational activities.
-Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager, Division Director, Clinical Director, Chief Operating Officer, and/or Executive Director.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree required for full time positions. High School Diploma or GED minimum for P/T positions.
-MAC certification eligibility.
-Valid driver’s license and a good driving record required.

Physical Requirements:
-Requires the physical ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and walk for moderate to long periods of time.
-Working in a residential setting with mild, hot, and cold temperatures depending upon the season of the year.
-Must have the ability to drive.

Available Shifts:
1A: 2nd and 4th Weekend (Sat. & Sun.) 10a-6p
2B: 1st, 3rd, and 5th Weekend (Sat. & Sun.) 10a-6p
3C: 2nd and 4th Weekend (Sat. & Sun.) 3p-10p
4D: 1st, 3rd, and 5th Weekend (Sat. & Sun.) 3p-10p
5E: 2nd and 4th Weekend (Sat. 3p-10:30p & Sun. 3p-10p)

$11.00 - 12.00 per hour
