Security Guard/Tester

Aletheia House is looking for Part-Time Security Guard/Tester for the Selma Treatment Center in Selma, Alabama to maintain a safe environment for tenants by monitoring and patrolling premises. Area serviced is Dallas County, Alabama.

Position Summary:
The Security Guard/Tester is responsible for providing security while treatment services are being provided. The Security Guard/Tester is responsible for monitoring and patrolling at the Selma Treatment Center to maintain a safe and secure environment.
The Security Guard/Tester will conduct urine tests for male offenders. The Security Guard/Tester works closely with the Treatment Coordinator South, Maintenance Manager, and Executive Director to accomplish the goals, objectives, and mission of maintaining a safe environment at Aletheia House.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Secures premises by patrolling property, monitoring activity and property entry at the Selma Treatment Center.
-Notifies authorities of suspicious or threatening behavior and/or incidents.
-Reports violations of policy and procedures of property grounds.
-Ensures tenants have parking passes in their vehicles for resident identification purposes.
-To perform drug tests for federal parolees and probationers.
-Participate in required staff meetings and trainings.
-Perform other duties as assigned by the Treatment Coordinator South, Maintenance Manager, Clinical Director, Chief Operating Officer, and/or Executive Director.

Qualifications:
-A minimum of one year experience as a Security Guard, preferred.
-Military or law enforcement experience strongly preferred.
-High School Diploma and/or GED, preferred.
-Valid Alabama Driver’s License and good driving record required.

Job Salary: 
$15.00 per Hour
Hours: 
P/T, Non-Exempt--Monday – Thursday, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (27 hours)
