Aletheia House is looking for a temporary Therapist who wants to make a difference in the lives of individuals recovering from substance abuse in the Huntsville, AL area. Area serviced is Madison County.

Position Summary:
The temporary Therapist will serve as a therapist who provides services to clients in specialized IOP. Duration of position is up to 12 weeks. The temporary Therapist works closely with the Treatment Coordinator to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.

Primary Responsibilities:
-To provide treatment for substance use disorders to court-involved adults.
-Conduct TB test with clients
-Conduct psycho-social assessments as needed; also conduct psycho-educational classes with clients and their families according to the approved curriculum.
-Document all services in a timely complete and clinically appropriate manner.
-Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as directed.
-Perform other duties as assigned by the Treatment Coordinator, Health Center Director, Director of Behavioral Health, Chief Operating Officer and/or Executive Director.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Excellent writing, communication, organizational and time management skills with knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuation.
-Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
-Exceptional interpersonal skills to relate with clients, participants and resource providers.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
-Ability to maintain harmonious effective working relationships with other employees.

Qualifications:
-Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral health with a clinical practicum required. Licensure or certification in Counseling and Social Work or AADC is preferred.
-Licensure and/certification as required by the Alabama Department of Mental Health, or the ability to achieve licensure/certification within two years.
-At least two years experience providing substance abuse treatment and/or prevention services preferred.
-Medicaid knowledge required.
-Must have valid and current Driver’s License

Job Salary: 
$18.27 - $20.67/Hourly
Hours: 
F/T, Non-Exempt hours on a temporary basis: Monday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm , Tuesday, 10:00 am-7:00 pm, Wednesday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm, Thursday, 10:00 am-7:00 pm, Friday, 8:00 am-2:00 pm - 40 hours a week.
